How to register Oracle Database XE with Oracle JDeveloper and Edit, unblock the users

Oracle Database 11g Express Edition (Oracle Database XE) is a basic level and small business database management system software based on the Oracle Database 11g Release 2.  It is free database software to develop, deploy, and distribute SQL databases and a very powerful option for database-oriented desktop and web application development. Its database administration is very easy. 

Oracle Database XE is a great starter database for Developers to develop different software applications, and for DBAs (Database Administrators), Education Institutions, and students to learn and train the database servers.

For the new users and software developers which are currently learning database development and want to install the oracle database 11g XE on windows, follow the below-mentioned steps for installation

1- Download the database software file from the Oracle website and save it in your desired folder.
 In the Disk1 folder, run the setup file of the oracle database server  as shown in the picture below

2- Oracle database 11g Express edition setup is preparing the install shield wizard.

3- Click Next

4- Here oracle technology network developer license terms for oracle database xe are shown. read these terms if you want. accept the license agreement and click next

5- Choose destination location where you want to install Oracle database 11g XE. After selection, click next

6- Enter the password. This password will be used for both the SYS and the SYSTEM database account. It is your master password for oracle database 11g. This password will next time used to access the oracle database. It is administer password and will have all rights to add, delete, modify the databases.

7- Click install. Here all your current installation setting is shown. Oracle home, oracle base folder path are shown.

Oracle database installation process has started.

8- Click finish. Your oracle database 11g express edition has been successfully installed.

9- There is different method to start and log in in the database. For example,

 To start the database:
 Go in Start menue -> All programs -> Oracle database 11g Express edition -> Click at start database

 To stop the database:
 Go in Start menue -> All programs -> Oracle database 11g Express edition -> Click at stop database

 To access database in browser window:
 Go in Start menue -> All programs -> Oracle database 11g Express edition -> Click at get started
A webpage will open where you can log in with your database and also the APEX

Oracle database XE 11.2 home page has opened. Here you see the current used storage, database sessions and different initialization parameters.Here you can also start and login in application express where you can connect with database and can design a database driven web applications.

This is oracle database login page, here you can login with provided database username and password.

Congratulation, you have successfully installed your Oracle database 11g XE database management system software and now you are able to use it for database development and for development of database based desktop and web applications.
